The Racine Writer-In-Residence program is an opportunity for local writers to share their talent with our community as well as dedicated time to work on their own writing. Follow and keep up with each of our writers and check out the archives of what they have contributed during their respective time.
Our current Writer-In-Residence:

Christy Hoff
July – December 2025
Christy is a published poet who was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Wisconsin Writers Association Jade Ring Contest. Her first book of poetry is set to be released this summer. She is an active member of our local arts community, involved with open mics and working with both the Kenosha Writers Guild and the FCC Writers Workshop.
Previously, Hoff was a Technology Coordinator and Computer Literacy teacher, using poetry to help children learn word processing. During her tenure, she will blend her love of poetry with her interest in health and wellbeing.
