Cast A Net

Cast a net into the sky,
Toss into the white not blue,
Sky that feels like water looks.

Cast a net into the sky,
Casually pull apart its soft conceal,
Uncover fields of pearlescent fluffs washed in light.

Cast a net into the sky,
It's weight separates the violet flower from pod,
Releasing milky sap, the recipe for clouds of butterflies.

Cast a net into the clouds,

Face to face, teasing vapor off the mirror,
Images of front and back, appear to reappear.

Aerosol induced words and pictures,
Graffiti streams across the clearing sky,
Sprayed smoking black, the canary, left alone to die.

Upside, downside, white clouds, black earth,
Reflections of one another, like dueling twins,
Nature's five elements oppose Man's five senses,
Grounded in fire, see where the rainbow begins, touch where it ends.
