Kaleidoscope: Kenosha

You are gifted with a different sort of blog this week. My muse insisted this be the message. I look forward to hearing from you. Stop in and chat with me Tuesday at Vintage & Modern Books from 12:30 – 2:30.

Do you live in Ke-no-where?

I’ve grown up in Key-no-sha.

Contrast built on futility.

Frustrations of family,

anchored for generations

to the motor industry.

Tight ties of friendship and blood,

disdain for college expense

in light of wage certainty.

Until it wasn’t…

Work for The Motors or trades

put food in the mouths of all

flavored with wariness.

Teachers who saw the end coming,

elders who remember need,

predict the return of scarceness.

Our unused talent and skill

stifled by punching time

chafing at tediousness.

Dormancy or progress?

divergency or monotonousness?

Change your view — epiphany.

Open your mind to see.
