A voided space between realms filled with laughter 

Candles lit for prayer, protection, and to guide our loved ones along the way 

Water poured into fancy glasses for libations and hydration 

Music playing to raise the frequency of the room and the energy of the dead 

Dancing to allow the spirit to flow 

Hot charcoal burning sage, sweet grass and tobacco 

Coconut water cleansing the head, hands, and feet

Bible verses to conjure up the Holy Spirit 

Storytelling to keep the memories of our ancestors alive 

Anointed oils to consecrate the sacred ceremony and divine purpose 

Each generation teaching traditions and passing down lessons 

Family history being recorded and praised as a blessing 

Making offerings to feed the spirit of our ancestors

As we put in prayers and petitions to those who are working 

Reinvigorating those resting in peace so that they too can join the feast 

Offerings are being received gifts are being bestowed 

Traditions of my Ancestors will always carry on
